10 things to LOVE about Japan
1. Franklin`s here. (okay - that`s what he said)
2. Spring and fall (they actually exist)
3. Sushi
4. The trains
5. The people that help you and make you feel welcome (like the Imai`s, our bosses)
6. Our students
7. It`s about 3 hours or less to the ocean at any given place
8. And about 3 hours or less to the mountains at any given place
9. The dragonflies!
10. The good ol`country-bumpkins who wear the same clothes year round
10 things to NOT love about Japan
1. The rest of our family is not here. ;)
2. 5 months of very hot and very humid summer
3. When food looks good but tastes terrible!
4. The small windy roads that make me carsick every time
5. The people who purposely keep you at an arms length (strange `gaijin` we are)
6. Our students
7. There`s about 300 people at any given place
8. And about 300 more at any ungiven place
9. The spiders
10. The city slickers who wax their arms, eyebrows and hairstyle into place, regardless their gender

Funny!
What do you mean about waxing arms, eyebrows and hair? Hairless people? Or people with waxed arm hair?
quit complaining, you're not living here, you're living a dream, you get to do fun stuff - FOR A LIVING - and you're not here. If I hear one more peep that "it's too hot" or "typhoons blow" i'm gonna come over there and ring your necks!! And if people want to wax their arms, fingers, ears, ect ect just let them. they are Japanese, it is expected out of them.
Who's complaining? And what makes living in some foreign location equate to getting to do "fun stuff?" And who's dream are we living? And who said "it's too hot" and who said "typhoons blow"? Life is life, no matter where you are, trust me Japan is not an escape from real life. Don't project your deluded sense of adventure onto our daily life. Yes, we are having fun, and learning new things, but not more or less so than we would anywhere else, including back home. This is where the Lord put us, and we're grateful, but it's no different than anythwhere else we've been put. It's not more fun or more challenging or more rewarding or more painful or more boring or less anything, it just is what it is, and that's life. And what's with the random threats of physical violence?
